Disclaimer - this website was built as a part of a graduate class I took else it probably wouldn’t have existed. I use this now to sometimes make a blog post but not very consistent with that either 😀

I graduated with a Master’s in Computer Science from Virginia Tech in May 2017. During my stay at VT, I also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Visionarium Lab at Virginia Tech. Dr. Nicholas F. Polys was my research advisor.

The topic of my Master’s thesis was “Remote High Performance Visualization of Big Data for Immersive Science” and you can read the abstract in the “RESEARCH” section as well as the entire research thesis itself in case you are interested in a lot more details.

I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2013 from Jamia Millia Islamia. After completing my Bachelor’s degree, I worked for two years for GridMarkets helping them build a cloud rendering platform.

Between 2012 and 2015, I also worked on a couple of startups. One of them was Smurfers.com, an e-commerce company selling merchandise inspired by popular TV shows like Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, etc. In retrospect, I do believe that though Smurfers didn’t work out as I had planned, it taught me a lot, much more than any other professional thing I have done till now. I do plan on starting another start-up sometime again and have been thinking about some ideas.

Since August 2020, I have been working full-time for Facebook as a production engineer from their Seattle office. Before this, I was working for NetApp between August 2017 to July 2020 as a software engineer from their Sunnyvale office.

In my free time, I like playing badminton, reading, travelling, meeting new people, hitting the gym, chess, football, and learning about new things in general. The world is so big and we hardly get to do 1% of the things in the world. I have a huge bucket list of all sorts of things in it. On it! 🙂

On this website, you will find my complete biography, education, publications, research interests, hobbies and a blog that has some random stuff.
